The other day I walked to the gas store to buy a cup of so-so coffee, and on the way, I saw a pile of child's clothing and toys that had been discarded behind an old tree. I left the road and walked over to inspect this pile of what once was, poking through it with my cane. A few feet away from the heap o' stuff, I spied in the grass a wonderful photo inscribed in faded ballpoint ink, "Touched by Jesus." (I searched for other snapshots but found only the TBJ.) I brought it home with me and taped it to a kitchen cabinet. It is a lovely addition to the room.
