Newsom takes the hard L …
A line on the page
Yesterday I gave that G. Newsom a bit of a pass when The Gov went on and on about the abortion rights of "daughters" & "sisters" & "mothers" & "grandmothers" with no mention of pregnant men who also have natural abortion health rights. Not nice by omission, let's say.

But now, 🐀 this whopper 🐀 from the Big G.N.: Good grief.

First off, men can be pregnant, are pregnant, and will be pregnant; and, in being preggers, can at times need to participate in the natural right of abortion. Last time we were dealing with an omission, which is not fun, but we could console ourselves that in the heat of this horrible triggering document from the Leaky Supreme Court, that, well, mistakes happened. Which one of us has not expressed themselves less well than we might have wanted to when flustered? Hmmm?
ΒΆ
Then Gov. Newsom slaps us right across the face 🀚 with the dirty little phrase "If men could get pregnant," a phrase that isn't at all sneaky but just yelling all big and country that G. Newsom believes that men can not get pregnant. There is no other way to understand those words. Wow. That is really something for someone who sneers at others as science-deniers to say! G. Newsom needs to listen to the SCIENCE: men can (and do) get preggers. So very disappointing. ☹
ΒΆ
But that's not all the Science-Denying Gov. Newsom got wrong, as they went on to conflate "pro-life" attitudes with climate science denial. Now, both of these beliefs are unfortunate in their own way, butT: not all "pro-lifers" are anti-climate-science, and, not all anti-climate-sciencers are "pro-life". Sorry, but it is a mix, not a one-to-one. That's just a fact. If the Gov. had said, "Hell, many of these people don't even believe in climate science …" that would've been true. Fair is fair. Even in political speechery.
ΒΆ
Still and all Spankapotamus, these people who are calling Gov. Newsom a transphobe are they themselves speaking out of turn. We do not have any evidence that Gov. Newsom wishes harm on the good people of the community or seeks to avoid them because they thinks they are disgusting or morally diseased. There just isn't evidence for it. Does G.N. seem confused about science? Certainly. Do we see evidence of irrational hatred in that little governor's heart? No. But the Gov. did take a hard L on this. No question about that.
ΒΆ
We need to hope that with the resources available to the Gov that science education is made available so that eyes, heart, and mind can be opened to the world as it is. πŸ™

Please note:
I did not make the computer image graphic of Gov. Newsom; I do not know who made it; I got it from the official Newsom Website where the governor explains to people why they should continue to elect a Newsom. 🐻
